Our mate Duncan has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

MND is a debilitating neurological condition that affects nerves that control voluntary muscles. They gradually stop working until the body stops functioning - while the mind is still active. MND has a prognosis of two to five years, and kills five people a day in the UK alone. There is no cure.

Rather than sitting still, Duncan's decided to do something about it.

A crew of friends and supporters from all around the globe will cycle from Vondelpark (Amsterdam) to Victoria Park (London) to get out there, get active, enjoy the ride and most importantly raise funds for MND research to help those diagnosed with MND in the future.

You can help - just sponsor a rider or donate directly to an MND charity in your area.

Ride for MND '08 is on 3-4 May 2008.

We made it!

At 5:30 pm on Sunday, the last riders came into Victoria Park, London after two days on the bike cycling from Amsterdam. I am pleased to report no injuries and 100% completion.

Over thirty riders joined us and together with the Drink for MND Event in Melbourne, we have raised around £37 000 for Motor Neurone Disease associations around the world.

I have attached a report of the ride and a picture of our top five finishers; Bryan Pay (NZ), Maria Szymanik (NZ), Dick Walters (UK), Alistair Law (UK), and Christopher Wall (Gibraltar).

Thanks for your support. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely. To find out more, click here.
